As we usually do during summertime in Argentières, we went hiking in Bérard's valley. As usual, we left the car at the parking lot that is at an altitude of 1380 meters. For the very first time, our goal was the refuge of "Bérard's stone", sitting 1924 meters high on the mountain. Hence a difference of height of 544 meters, that is 1,800 feet.
