In order to remove some burden from the suitcases, we had the children travel with their hiking boots. Our first trip was in car and to the Wailua falls. There, Koupaïa started to be grumpy: as we had her wear her hiking boots, we had to hike in the mountains. During the lunch break we looked in the travel guide, and we spent the afternoon on Kuilau trail. The vegetation, there, was quite different from O'ahu's. A big point in common: the type of vegetation is changing in a few yards, and with a single glance you can look at several different types of vegetations.
